The Executive Council of Asharqia Chamber businesswomen has reelected member of
the Board of Directors Manahel bint Abdullah Al Hamdan, as the chairman
of the board and Shuaa Al Dahilan as a Vicar in the first meeting of
the Council for the current year, which was held Sunday January 8, 2017 in the
Chambermain headquarters.
The
members discussed the Council plan for the current year 2017, which included the most important meetings and events that discuss
the main issues and challenges facing the women business sector in the region.
The
Council approves the development of women leaders project to run their own business
and their wealth in a professional way, and how to work on rimproving the level
of businesswomen awareness of the economic aspects, and to keep them updated of
the developments in the employment of women, the study of the problems and
difficulties faced by business women in the business sector and suggesting the
appropriate solutions and working on the communicating with the
relevant authorities to send those solutions and working on implementing them in accordance with the available circumstances,
and suggesting ways to improve the performance of the business women sector institution
and improving their standard, and providing advice and recommendations in various
topics of interest to business women sector.
A
report issued by the Council covering its activities during 2016 confirms that
among its activities is the study of the problems and difficulties faced by businesswomen
in the business sector and suggesting the appropriate solutions and working on informing
the concerned authorities via the Chamber, and suggesting ways to improve the
performance of businesswomen sector and discussing issues
referred to the Council of the board of directors of the Chamber or the
Secretariat or the national committees and the Council recommendations would be
advisory, thus for this purpose, the Council held 19 meetings, including nine major meetings and 10 meetings of four teams from the Council.
The
Council offers several programs that are: (Know Your Rights) program, which
means educating women about their rights in the field of
business, and in the program there will be a meeting with specialists in
the field of law and the discussion topics that women are interested in, in a specialized
way such as the women rights in family businesses, the contracts, negotiation etc.
The
(Business Development) that works on activating the communication between
businesswomen with complementary activities to improve their business activities, and to
inform women of the developments of the business and the different activities,
and new tools, also the Council holds (Tamkeen) program that handles the study
of the problems and difficulties faced by businesswomen.
